Liberty Tea Rooms & Community Hub

Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub (LTR&CH) is a Christian charity working in partnership with several local churches. As well as operating award winning Tea Rooms, they provide a hub that helps serve people in the local community. This includes being the centre for CAP (Christians Against Poverty) in Dacorum, being a Foodbank distribution point, and a base for Dacorum Street Pastors.

Christian Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) provides free debt help and various local courses across the UK. The free services, run in partnership with local churches, provide practical and emotional support and show people that there is always hope.

 

HHCC actively supports the work of CAP in our community as a local Partner Church and many of our Church Family are actively involved in this work as volunteers.

Dacorum Street Pastors

This is a multi church initiative bringing a visible presence of peace, kindness and Christ’s love onto the streets of Hemel Town Centre between 10pm and 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.

DENS foodbank.png

DENS Dacorum Foodbank

Run in partnership with The Trussell Trust, DENS’ Foodbank provides food parcels to anyone who is struggling in our community. Food parcels can be collected at the main centre in Hemel as well as other distribution places across Dacorum. They regularly receive donations from local supermarkets as well as from individuals

Cornergate Foundation

Cornergate Foundation is a Christian charitable organisation that works with prisoners and ex-offenders in our local community to support successful resettlement after prison

Youth Across Hemel

Youth Across Hemel is a Christian charity who aim to encourage young people to discover more about Christianity in fun and relaxing spaces. This includes hosting FREE town wide youth events and creative prayer spaces, running youth clubs and serving in schools.

Overseas Connections

Route 61

Route 61 works by invitation with the Juvenile Justice System in Kenya. In partnership with the Chaplain for Children’s Services, their team in Kenya are seeing children’s lives transformed through practical help and the “arms wide open love of God".

New Horizons Christian Fellowship, Nepal

Over the last few years we have been supporting the work of NHCF Damak which is situated in the East of Nepal. This growing local church is led by Bijay and Jyoti Ghamal. They are seeking to share the transforming love of Jesus within their local community.

New Horizons Christian Fellowship, India

Since 2017 we have had the privilege of supporting the work of NHCF Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The church is led by Yohan and Priti Suresh. The church has a passion to serve their community in very practical ways, running effective education and counselling programs, whilst sharing Jesus.
